If NBC wants Brian Williams gone, it's going to have to pay
The peacock network could be forced to give the suspended anchor between $20 million and $30 million as a severance payment, according to a report from Politico's Mike Allen
That would mean Williams would get around half of the $50 million contract he signed with NBC in December, around the time of his 10th anniversary with NBC. That deal reportedly paid up to $10 million per year for five years
Allen reported that NBC is hoping Williams will resign and "save the expense."
