LONDON — Apple has reportedly hollowed out some of BBC Radio 1's core team by poaching four top producers for its music streaming service, in a massive blow to the broadcaster months after Apple bagged star presenter Zane Lowe.
According to Music Business Worldwide, a music industry-analysis site run by former Music Week editor Tim Ingham, the talent includes Lowe's old producer James Bursey, who will relocate to Los Angeles to work for Apple.
The move has been called "the Apple crumble" internally, according to BBC insiders quoted by Ingham.
