An Australian fisherman has helped catch a cow that fell into the water off Darwin.
Jonathan Brandenburg was fishing with his wife off Darwin Harbour on April 25, when he heard calls for help coming from a nearby wharf, according to ABC News. He said someone yelled out: "Oi, do you mind helping us out, we've lost a cow!"
Noticing the calls were coming from a live export ship, "we jump in the tinny [aluminium boat]," Brandenburg said. One of the cows being loaded onto the ship had tried to escape and landed in the water.
"So two of [the live export staff] jump in the tinny and one gets his rope out, wrangles it around the animal's neck and pulls it against the boat," Brandenburg tells ABC News. "The boat's going all over the place and me and my wife were freaking out, but it was all good." Read more...
