The Confederate flag is a symbol of racism. But here's where it still flies high.

Confederate flags are coming down across the United States — from the state capitols of South Carolina and Alabama to the state flag of Mississippi, with many companies including Amazon, eBay and Alibaba banning sale of the flag

But there are still parts of country where the flag is still plainly visible, including as decals on license plates in many states

After nine black parishioners were murdered at the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston, South Carolina on June 17, outrage spread across the country over the Confederate flag which still flew at the state capitol. A white supremacist named Dylann Roof was arrested for the murders. Roof had outfitted his car with Confederate plates and had posed in pictures with the flag which is widely seen as a symbol of racism. Read more...
