David Sweat, one of two inmates who escaped from an upstate New York prison several weeks ago, was caught on Sunday. The other inmate, Richard Matt, was shot and killed by officials on Friday.
In a statement, New York State Police confirmed Sweat's capture.

New York governor Andrew Cuomo opened an evening press conference by saying, "We are here with good news... the nightmare is over." He added, "This is the first escape in 100 years and if you were writing a movie plot, they would say this was overdone."
